articles: bonkers for jonkers
by captaincape
There’s nothing like keeping it cosy in the cape during winter, recently we took a trip to groot constantia for the first time, what a vine surprise! Great wine, especially the merlot, then an early dinner at jonkershuis in the stone building off the main restaurant, it’s a real cosy number with a hanging grate fire place at each end of the room. The service, casual but excellent and flavour some food at very reasonable prices that will have the grapes squeezing their way under the barn doors just to get a sniff!.. if you fancy a sneaky smoochy shiraz afternoon head there for a late lunch at about 4pm and you will have the place to yourself, they serve all day until 11pm! posted: 30.07.2009 login /
