related articles: simons says by captaincape
Whoever simon is and whatever simon has to say, i don’t care! I just hope they keep him in the kitchen and that he keeps on knocking up the dishes they dish at simons on groot constantia. Previously I had only visited jonkershuis, simons is the flip side experience, both are equally as good in their own right I would say, where jonkershuis is cozy colonial with stone fireplaces, simons is open airy full of chat and the clatter of knives and forks on china. The prices at both restaurants are extremely reasonable, service equally casual and friendly, and never mean when it comes to tending to your hunger. It is a well balanced restaurant, great food, great atmosphere and no slap in the chops when you decide cash up and roll yourself back to your wheels. To choose between simons and jonkershuis I would say depends on the occasion, either way, you wont be disappointed. Start at the gate, grab a glass and make a day of it!
