 | As a first time visitor to this steakhouse , found staff unfriendly and waitress untrained. All 3 " steak specials" arrived minus any garnishing, paper-thin steak , unsure why waitress asked how steak should be cooked. It would take less than 1 minute on either side for a well done steak as too thin for medium rare or rare, no chance any other choice would be possible. The onion rings on my fellow visitors' plate was still white, looked uncooked and unappertising. My plate arrived with ultra bland pumpkin accompanied by spinach sauce that resembled " stuiwe pap" The fork stood upright without any support to prove how thick and floury tasting the supposed side dish deviated from its true form. My husband ordered chicken livers which was so hot,he was sweating and hence suffered after the distastrous meal. When asked for the bread not to be toasted, we were were informed the bread is frozen. I requested for bread to be heated slightly as for obvious reasons my husband could not consume anything hard/crispy. Will definitely not recommend or visit this Spur again. Ottery, Claremont and City Centre Spurs come highly recommended. |
